Great e-reads for December!

With the unpredictable weather of Pittsburgh, this e-book surely will have your child talking about wildlife, weather patterns and family customs. While cardinals are rather common winter visitors here, in other parts of the country they are much more rare to spot.
The extension pages of this book might help your family examine how wildlife can be helped on those blustery winter days.
Happy reading, both online and in a cozy spot by the fireplace!
Enjoy your winter break!

Negotiating Reading in November...

Without Daylight Savings Time, darkness is falling before we are in our front doors. Evening hours can quickly disappear in front of 'a screen' and suddenly it is children's bedtime with barely time for a story to tuck them in. Make the most of evening "screen time" with a wonderful e-book from our Sylvan Dell Grant!
My featured book is Whistling Wings, the story of migration and one frightened, lonely bird. This award winner will have you and your child glancing skyward to watch those Canadian Geese as they make a similar trek to warmer settings.
Please post your comments for our book discussion! Happy e-book reading!

Grand Opening of the E-Books site!

Reservations are coming in for the Parent workshops on Tuesday, October 27th. We will be having sessions at both 2:15 and at 6:30. It is the perfect opportunity to come in and learn about the features of the Sylvan Dell Publishing e-book Grant we have received. These are "hands on" sessions to show you all the features of these beautiful books.

So far my favorite title is difficult to pick, but Countdown to Fall is perfect for our Pennsylvania Autumn. The illustrations make me want to get outside for a brisk hike!
What was your reaction to this story?
